Indonesia - SCTV Streaming

Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV) is a free broadcast television network in Indonesia. It was launched in Surabaya, East Java, on August 24, 1990 as Surabaya Central Television to broadcast the city and its surroundings. At first, the programming was similar to that of RCTI, they used some news programs until they produced their own news programs.

On August 1, 1993, SCTV received a national license and eventually moved its activities to Jakarta and changed its name to Surya Citra Televisi. Their main offices are in Central Jakarta and their studios are in West Jakarta. It is owned by Surya Citra Media, a part of Emtek technology company.

On February 18, 2011, commissioners of their parent companies Indosiar and SCTV agreed to a merger, although both companies were subject to government approval as they went public.

In 2001, SCTV's affiliate television station in East Java launched Liputan 6 SCTV, a localized news broadcast that can only be seen in Surabaya. The North Sumatran version of the Liputan 6 SCTV appears on SCTV Medan at 9:30 am and is re-aired on SCTV at 4:00 pm; this version was released in 1997. Depending on the relay station, additional TV local O Channel programs can also be viewed.
