India - PTC PUNJABI Live

PTC Punjabi is an Indian Punjabi television network and the company is owned by G Next Media Pvt Ltd. It features general interest programming including news, drama, comedy, music and talk shows. PTC Punjabi started operations on 6th August 2008 and within a year became the most popular television network in Punjab.

In 2009, PTC Punjabi expanded its reach internationally. It was released in the United States on DirecTV on August 23, 2009. In September 2009, a Canadian version was released. In early 2010, PTC Punjabi was dropped from DirecTV for unknown reasons. On August 25, 2010, PTC Punjabi launched on Dish Network, making the channel available again in the United States.

In July 2010, PTC Punjabi launched in Australia and New Zealand on Konnect TV Network and in 2011 on VisionAsia (Australia and New Zealand). It currently broadcasts to all viewers in Europe in Free to Air mode on Sky. It is also available to viewers in the United States and Canada on Dish Network, Rogers, Telus, Bell, Bell Fibe, Shaw.

PTC organizes the annual PTC Punjabi Music Awards and for the first time it organized the PTC Punjabi Film Awards in 2011 which it organizes every year. Gurbani (praises to God sung by Sikhs) is broadcast daily from the gurudwara (Sikh temple) Harminder Sahib (commonly known as the Golden Temple) early in the morning and in the evening. Gurbani is the main program for which PTC Punjabi is famous among Sikhs mainly in India, Canada etc.

News Bulletin provides Punjabi news, with the largest network of reporters and cameramen in Punjab. Straight Talk is a hard-hitting talk show with political and community leaders in a format that allows for direct and candid discussion of current issues. Straight Talk has featured totally familiar people with the whole family in a casual and entertaining format.

The Masters is a host-based, unplugged show featuring Punjab Dei Sitare, a fleet of legendary singers performing live with well-modulated voices that resonate from the corners of the world, where the Punjabi diaspora is found. Primetime News features two news anchors who deliver the day's big stories in a lively, talkative format.

Majha, Malwa Doaba Daily News Update provides special updates from Punjab's Majha, Malwa and Doaba belts that are tailored to local happenings. Voice of Punjab is a Punjabi musical reality television show. It started in 2010 and until August 2012 it had 3 seasons.

BCL Punjab is a Punjabi version of Box Cricket League where celebrities play team cricket and compete for a big prize.
