Moscow 24 (Russian: Москва 24) is a Russian 24-hour television station that is part of the editorial team of Moscow Media Incorporated by Moscow Media Sources and is referred to the All-Russia State Television and Broadcasting Corporation (VGTRK). The canal is headquartered in Moscow with its manufacturing facilities and operations and is available in Moscow, the Moscow Region and Crimea.
Advertised as the city's main television channel to appeal to all Moscow citizens and visitors interested in the news, life and opportunities of the city. Approximately 50 percent of the content is for live news and information programming. The channel also offers a variety of entertainment and consumer-focused shows.
Founded on the initiative of the Moscow government on the basis of the television channel "Stolitsa" (1997-2011) and launched on September 5, 2011, starting with the live presentation of the channel to the mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin. In 2016, the station celebrated its 5th anniversary and announced reality TV as the current main direction of its non-informative programs.
