Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is an American nonprofit that broadcasts on five publicly available cable television channels in Manhattan, New York City. MNN, the country's largest community media center, operates two community media centers - in Midtown Manhattan and East Harlem - and provides education, equipment, and community producers and organizations who want to create programs for broadcast on one of MNN's five channels , Facilities and programs. In 2016, MNN will publish more than 5,000 enrollments in its media classes, making it one of the largest media education institutions in New York City.
In 2012, MNN opened the Community Media Center of the MNN El Barrio Firehouse in East Harlem. The El Barrio Firehouse (the former quarter of Engine Company 53) is a cross-generational community media center that offers educational programs, community activities, and training in television production in English and Spanish. The Firehouse is also home to the MNN Youth Media Center, founded in 2000, which provides education, internships and other opportunities for low-income young people aged 15 to 25 and curates a five-hour block of programs every week.
