U.K. - BBC Arabic Tv Live

BBC News Arabic (Arabic: بي بي سي نيوز عربي), formerly BBC Arabic Television, is a TV news channel broadcast to the Arab World by the BBC. It was released on March 11, 2008. It is run by the BBC World Service and funded by British television license fees.

In 1994, BBC Arabic Television was launched by the Rome-based Orbit Communications Company (owned by King Fahd's cousin Prince Khalid ibn Abdullah) and a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia Mawarid Holding. On 21 April 1996, it was "pulled out of the air" after a Panorama episode criticizing the Saudi Arabian government. Ian Richardson, who founded the news department at the time, blamed the channel's short life for the conflict with owners over content.
