India - ABN TV Live (Telugu)

ABN Andhra Jyothi is a Telugu news channel launched on 15 October 2009 by the Telugu newspaper Andhra Jyothi. ABN stands for Aamoda Broadcasting Network.

This channel was launched by Vemuri Radhakrishna following the success of Andhra Jyothi newspaper.

S. Janardhan, a lawyer from Hyderabad, filed a petition with the Ranga Reddy Court for the illegal use of funds by V. Radha Krishna, which were collected to support the Siamese twins Vienna and Vani.

The applicant said that Jyoti had been collecting funds from the citizens that they promised would be used to support them. While the Telangana government came up with a proposal to carry out the operation, Andhra Jyoti took over their service. [Needs clarification] By June 2015, about Rs 25 lakhs had been collected for the twins.

“But not a single rupee was spent on the children, and the money was directed towards the personal use of Radhakrishna,” Janardhan said in his complaint. The court instructed the Saroornagar police to register the case under sections 406, 420, 403 and 120 (b) and to submit a detailed incident report by November 16.
